En la época actual, Jason Kammerath, un investigador norteamericano de lo paranormal accede a los videos grabados con celular de lo que parecen eventos muy perturbadores grabados en las ruinas del Casino del Diablo en Hermosillo y decide viajar a dicha ciudad para investigar más a fondo, sin embargo una vez ahí se entrevista con Carmen Valenzuela que es la cronista de la ciudad y quien le explica que eso es tan solo una leyenda urbana, que en pocas palabras está perdiendo su tiempo.
