En rueda de prensa, realizada en las instalaciones de la Feria de Colima, Vázquez Vuelvas destacó que el gobernador José Ignacio Peralta Sánchez ha instruido que el máximo festejo de las y los colimenses sea incluyente y apertura a todas las manifestaciones. “La Feria de Todos los Santos, es una Feria estatal para todos los sectores sociales y esta es una gran oportunidad para ratificar el compromiso de que este gobierno sea un gobierno incluyente”, ratificó el funcionario. Acompañado por el director de Desarrollo Social de Gobierno del Estado, Daniel Fierros Ceballos, detalló que estas actividades se desarrollan de la mano con esta dependencia, con el objetivo de promover una cultura de inclusión a través de estas actividades artísticas y culturales, que a su vez, contribuyan a terminar prejuicios y estereotipos. En su intervención, Daniel Fierros, detalló que entre las actividades organizadas, está la realización de una Pasarela, el sábado 4 de noviembre en los pasillos centrales de la Feria de Todos los Santos a las 20:00 horas; al igual, el 4 de noviembre, se realizará un Encuentro Nacional de Futbol. Además, detalló que el 6 de noviembre, se realizará una conferencia magistral denominada “Sexualidades Diversas. Problemas contemporáneos” impartida por la directora de Antropología Física del Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia (INAH), en el auditorio de la Facultad de Contabilidad de la Universidad de Colima a las 12:00 horas. Indicó que del 6 al 10 de noviembre, se realizará un Ciclo de Cine en el Foro Pablo Silva García del IUBA de la Universidad de Colima, en el que se proyectarán títulos como Moonligth, La Novia de la Novia, TransAmérica, Caída Libre y Un Corazón Normal, todos los días a las 18:00 horas. Fierros Ceballos, destacó finalmente que el 9 de noviembre en el Auditorio del Cedart a las 10:00 horas se llevará a cabo un Montaje Teatral con temas sobre la diversidad sexual en Colima y el 10 de noviembre, se realizará un círculo literario en el Museo Universitario de Artes Populares Ma. Teresa Pomar, en el que se analizará la literatura de la diversidad sexual en cinco autores colimenses. Por su parte, el empresario Enrique Cabrera, agradeció el respaldo del Gobierno del Estado para la realización de estas actividades y sobre todo, la apertura a las expresiones de la diversidad sexual, ya que dijo, es la primera ocasión en la que se brinda este espacio. Asimismo, anunció que como evento estelar, el jueves 2 de noviembre se realizará la elección y coronación de la Reina de la Feria de Colima LGBTTTI 2017, a las 20:30 horas en el Casino de la Feria. Este evento, destacó, contará con la participación de representantes de los 10 municipios del estado, quienes serán calificadas por un jurado especializado y además, puntualizó que en el intermedio del evento, se contará con el show musical de la actriz y cantante Lorena Herrera.
