I have an old Frontier Design Dakota PCI audio card (not PCIe) that I wanted to continue to use with but in a new computer. Unfortunately the availability of recent motherboards with a legacy PCI slot is very limited. I could only find one model that has the LGA1700 socket and that is the ASUS Pro H610M-CT D4 business motherboard. I created this video simply to share my experience with anyone else who wants to use their old Frontier Design equipment in a new system or for anyone wishing to do the same with any legacy PCI-slot equipment in general. The equipment to which the Dakota connects is the Frontier Design Tango 24 (for 24-bit optical ADAT audio) and also the Sierra 8-port MIDI & SMPTE rack mount.
